Valencia Events
Valencia is overflowing with culture and life and has more than it’s share of festivals . As well as the local festivals, art galleries and museums, there are live concerts, theater, music, sports, fashion shows and lots more.
The stunning City of Arts and Sciences can be found at the end of the Turia Gardens a short distance from Valencia city beach. The gardens stretch for 7km through the center of the city and host many festivals and events during the year. It’s a great place to take a stroll, go jogging, ride a bike and play sports.

January Valencia Events 2020
Kings Day is celebrated all over Spain, and the fiesta of San Vicente Martir is held on 22 January in Valencia. Ice skating, circuses and many other events are still open for some of the month.

During December in Valencia Christmas(Navidad) is celebrated. Stores are full of seasonal gifts, festive markets and fairs abound. From 20 December the main open air ice skating rink, Christmas tree, and the traditional nativity scene are in Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

The annual MotoGP is held at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Cheste which is just a short drive from the center of Valencia.
Don’t forget – 1 November is All Saints’ Day and a public holiday in Spain.

The festivals of the National Day of the autonomous region of Valencia, and Sant Donis Day, patron saint of lovers. This two day events is celebrated in style with music, dancing and firework displays.

Don’t miss the 59th edition of Sueca’s International Paella Competition.
Another must whilst you’re here is to head down to Valencia marina and enjoy rock concerts and more at the bandstand in the Marina from September to December.

Top festivals at this time of year include La Tomatina held on the last Wednesday in August in Bunyol, a small town just outside Valencia.
The annual funfair and Ferris will be in the Turia Gardens alongside a host of other exciting events in Valencia.

During the summer months the city opens its doors to open air events and top concerts. The July Fair (Feria de Julio) offers a fantastic program of events which includes a summer festival of films held at the foot of Palau de la Musica with open-air screenings in the city and the beaches of Valencia.

Corpus Christi – concerts and short, open-air theater and the triumphal carriages known as “Rocas”, a parade — the Cabalgata del Convite — bursting with dance, music and color, and a solemn procession. On the 23 June is the festival of Sant Joan and there’s lots more happening in June .

Mother’s Day is always celebrated on the first Sunday in May in Spain, so it’s easy to remember.
3 May – “Crosses of May” and second Sunday in May the festival of Our Lady of the Forsaken (Virgin of the Helpless), Patron Saint of the city of Valencia.
The Valencia Book Fair is held during this month in the lovely Viveros Gardens until the 5 May.

Spain is famous for it’s festivals and Las Fallas in Valencia is definitely not to be missed.
