National Day of Valencia & San Donis Day
The 9 October is the National Day of the region of Valencia and also San Donís Day which is one of the most romantic festivals in Valencia.
It’s also known as Día de la Mocadorà (Day of the Handkerchief), mocador is handkerchief in Valencian, because on this day handerchiefs are filled with tiny marzipan shapes of fruits and veggies and given to the one you love.

THE COLÓN MARKET CELEBRATES ITS CENTENARY
1 October – 24 December 2016
One of the gastronomic spaces of reference in Valencia, the Colón Market, will be 100 years old on 24 December.
To celebrate the event this gastro market has organised exhibitions, gastronomic workshops for adults and children, guided tours, gourmet product tastings and other cultural events that will take place over the last three months of the year.

Film Symphony Orchestra returns to Valencia as part of its FSO TOUR 2016. Expect to hear the first performances in Spain of titles such as Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens and The Hateful Eight (both nominated at the 2016 Oscars for best soundtrack), as well as Conan the Barbarian, Cinema Paradiso, The Dark Knight, Harry Potter, Schlinder’s List, Silverado and Psycho, among others.
