Valencia Book Fair
22 April ~ 3 May 2015 : (11:00 to 21:00)
The 50th edition of the Book Fair of Valencia is held for 12 days in the lovely Viveros Gardens.
There are over 80 outlets with a large collection of books of all genres, from major bestsellers to technical publications or rarities.
From 11.00 – 2:00 p.m
From 17.00 – 9:00 p.m
Location : Viveros Gardens Square (Spanish Legion, 13, Valencia)
Andalusian Feria de Valencia 2015 ~ Andalusian Fair in Valencia
24 April – 3 May 2015
The festival is situated between the Bridge of Flowers and the Calatrava Bridge in the Turia Gardens.
It celebrates the customs and cuisine of Andalusia and you can enjoy flamenco, singing, food and parades. Admission is free – hosted by the groups of Associations of Andalusia in Valencia.
Times: Monday to Wednesday and Sunday until 23:00h
Thursday and Friday until 1:30h
Saturday until 2:00h.

Every year the festival of ‘The Crosses of May’ is celebrated in Valencia.
There are crosses made of flowers throughout the city.

Festival of Our Lady of the Forsaken

Fiesta de la Mare de Deu de Valencia (Festival of Our Lady of the Forsaken) is a celebration in honor of the Patron of Valencia.
It takes place on the second Saturday/ Sunday in May.
Saturday Evening Events
8 pm Ceremony for the Virgin at the Real Capilla (Royal Chapel).
11 pm Concert by the Municipal Orchestra in the Plaza de la Virgen.
Midnight (00 am) Fireworks display in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Followed by the Gran Dansà (the Great Dance) and Cantà d’Albaes (traditional songs) in honour of la Mare de Déu (with the collaboration of the Associació de Cant Valencià) in the Plaza de la Virgen.

Free Comic Book Day 2015

The 6th edition of Free Comic Book Day aims to promote reading comics and to publicize the specialized bookstores and help promote Spanish authors.
On Saturday 9 May all those who enter one of the stores participating in the event will receive a free comic. These are the stores participating in the Free Comic Book Day in Valencia.
