The Towns of Requena and Utiel …

Famous for their grapes and wine production and are within easy reach of Valencia.

Requena being the nearest at only 65km and Utiel a little further at 73km from Valencia.

• Situated inland the Denomination of Origin (D.O.) is a large area almost exclusively used to cultivate grape vines.
• The D.O.’s name comes from the two main towns, but it contains a total of nine municipalities: Caudete de las Fuentes, Camporrobles, Fuenterrobles, Requena, Siete Aguas, Sinarcas, Utiel, Venta del Moro and Villargordo del Cabriel region.

• Utiel-Requena is the only region in which wine has been continuously produced for more than 2,500 years.

• Somewhere in the region of 60-70 villages, spread over four regions produce the D.O of the Valencia Utiel-Requena, Alto /Turia, Valentino, Moscatel de Valencia and Clariano where white grape varieties are found.
