There are two patron saints of Valencia – San Vicente Martir  and the Virgin de los Desamparados.   San Vicente is famous for the many miracles he performed and crosses all over the city on 22 January pay homage to this. The Feria Valencia exhibition center boasts the largest exhibition area of ​​Spain and one of the tenth largest in the world an offers the possibility of holding facilities conventions, congresses, seminars, meetings, concerts and all kinds of events for up to 20.000 people.

  • The average taxi rate to Feria Valencia from Valencia is 15 euros.
  • Directions by metro from Valencia North train station to Feria Valencia

If you tavel by AVE, you will arrive at the Joaquin Sorolla station. Take the free shuttle at the station exit to reach the Valencia North Station (Estacion del Norte) which is about two minutes travel to the metro entrance.

Take line 3 towards Avda. del Cid or Aeropuerto.  Change at Ángel Guimerá and take line 1 in direction of Bétera or Paterna-Llíria.

When you arrive at Empalme station, change towards line 4 (back to cancel the same ticket without having to pay again) and take the tram in the direction of Feria Valencia.  The approximate travel time between the station and the exhibition is 40-45 minutes. The price of the ticket is 3.90 euros.

Expojove is held every year at Feria Valencia and is great fun for children.

MUV Festival Russafa Valencia (Valencia Urban Circuit Music)

The Valencia Marathon treats runners to free hot chocolate and churros before the race and excellent goody-bags at the finish.

The course is very flat and passes along the coast,  the Jardin del Turia, Mercado de Colon and Palau de la Musica, finishing at the stunning Museo de las Ciencias Principe Felipe at the City of Arts and Sciences.  There is also much live music on the route to keep runners entertained.

ELECTRIC RUN VALENCIA

On 24 October the Turia Gardens will be the setting for a fun full event.

Electric Run is a 5k night race in which the real stars are the participants, lighting up the course with fluorescent kits and makeup, LEDs and any other accessory that shine.

Starts at 19:00 pm with entertainment and concerts until 24:00 ~ During the race there will be a number of themed spaces that will entertain participants and spectators with music and light. At the end there is a big party with the best DJs of the moment, gastronomy and many more surprises.

Sueca Festival

paella valencianaEvery year the Valencian town of Sueca hosts a major festival  with over two weeks of partying with bands and disc jockeys, magic shows and exhibitions.

On the last day of the festival (13 September 2015) a giant paella is cooked for all to enjoy.

The competition attracts paella lovers from all over the country. All the dishes must be cooked with the rice grown in the region of La Albufera (the birthplace of paella) which is just 12km from the center of Valencia.

The Color Run by Desigual

The Color Run by Desigual is a unique experience for all who want to enjoy a fun time in Valncia. The goal is to enjoy a career with a family full of color and fun that ends in the Marina Real Juan Carlos I , where the concert takes place –  a music festival with the best DJ’s on the national scene and friends.

Throughout the race participants will receive a shower of color.  The 9 am starting line will be on Calle Dr. Marcos Sopena and will leave every 5min. When you register, you must choose between exits 9 am and 9: 30h.

The impressive Puerta de la Mar (Gatway to the Sea) is in Plaza (Placa) Porta de la Mar in the Ensanche (L’Eixample) district  of Valencia ~  (see districts of Valencia).

From here it’s very easy to walk to  the Turia Gardens .  

The old Portal del Real was destroyed in 1865 and the  reconstruction is made of marble.

The addition of the cross in the main arch is to remember those who lost their lives in the Spanish Civil War.

Sueca Festival

paella valencianaEvery year the Valencian town of Sueca hosts a major festival for over 2 weeks. You can enjoy over  two weeks of partying with bands and disc jockeys, magic shows and exhibitions.

On the last day of the festival (13 September 2015)  a giant paella is cooked for all to enjoy.  The competition attracts paella lovers from all over the country.  All the dishes must be cooked with the rice grown in the region of La Albufera (the birthplace of paella) which is just 12km from the center of Valencia.
