Valencia Travel Tips…

valencia travelThere are a variety of ways of getting to Valencia,  and although one of the quickest and most popular  is by flying, travel by train is becoming a popular alternative.

You can  also take the ferry from the UK and from the Balearic Islands, take the bus or  hire a car and drive to Valencia. We  drove from the resort of  Altea on the Costa Blanca,  (not far from Benidorm) and had a wonderful journey.

Apartments to Rent in Valencia

Apartments to Rent in Valencia are a great alternative to staying in a hotel…

Apartments to rent in Valencia can often work out cheaper than staying in a hotel. You have your own living room, kitchen, bathroom and often a terrace where you can enjoy a glass of wine or breakfast in the morning, plus you get to live like a local.

plazadellavirginRenting an apartment in Valencia town center  gives you the opportunity to enjoy  the culture and attractions, yet you are only 15 minutes by tram or 25-30 minutes by  bus from the beach.

horchatacityofartsandsciencesMaybe you prefer to stay near the City of Arts and Sciences or the Turia Gardens  – both are easy to reach by bus (or by walking through the gardens ) from the town center.

Travel Tips!

A travel card allows you to travel on the bus and metro for 10 journeys which works out less than a euro for each journey.  Buses run until midnight and the night-bus runs until 2.00am.

With Apartments to Rent in Valencia  you can…  Live Like a Local

Mercado Central Valencia

A bonus of renting an apartment in Valencia  is that you can cook when you feel like it.  Enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner on your very own terrace or balcony.  The freshest of food, fruit and vegetables can be purchased at Mercat / Mercado Central, in the Old Quarter  or at any of the local supermarkets all over town.

elcorteinglesvalenciaThe popular El Corte Ingles stores all have supermarkets, usually in the basement, where you will find everything you need.

Many of the apartments in Valencia offer a ‘welcome pack’ which comes in handy, especially if your flight arrives late in the evening.

It saves you rushing around trying to find a late night supermarket which is the last thing you want to do on your first night in Valencia.

Apartments to rent in Valencia by the beach …

valenciabeachAn apartment close to the sea is good if you enjoy spending most of your time swimming and lazing on the beach.

The district of Cabanyal is just a few minutes walk from the lovely beach and restaurants of the area.

You can take the tram or bus to the city center. Buses run from the center of town to the beach until midnight and the night-bus runs until about 2.00am.

However,  if you prefer to be in the center of town close to shops and the many tourist attractions, then Valencia Old Town is the best place to stay.
