Ricardo Tormo Circuit

Ricardo Tormo Circuit ~ Moto GP

Ricardo Tormo Circuit de Valencia opened in September 1999 and is just 10km from Valencia Airport in Manises and only 20km from the city of Valencia. This popular event is held every year during the month of November.

Getting Here from Valencia:

By Car – Easy to access via the following motorways – A3 (Madrid/Valencia) and the A7 (Alicante/Barcelona).

By Train – Take Line C-3  (Cercanias-Renfe – suburban train) from Sant Isidre station in the center of Valencia to Cheste.  From here it’s a ten minute walk to the circuit.

By Bus – You can also take a bus from Valencia Central Bus Station to the center of Cheste.

  • The circuit is named after Ricardo Tormo (7 September 1952 – 27 December 1998) who was a famous Valencian Grand Prix motorcycle road racing World Champion who died in 1998.
  • The circuit is located in the Cambrillas area in Cheste which is just a short drive from the city of Valencia.
  • The design of the circuit follows that of the American Canon Circuit which allows a fantastic view of all that’s happening during the race.

El Llagar del Abuelo Valencia restaurant is situated near the Turia Gardens close to all the major attractions such as the Palau de la Música and the City of Arts and Sciences.

The restaurant offers authentic recipes and flavors of the Asturian cuisine and the ingredients are specially selected and brought from Asturias. This is critical in achieving the traditional flavors.

In a place that surprises in its modern decor, the wooden furniture is also traditional of Asturias.

A highlight of the restaurant is the wood bar that extends to the wall to give way to one of the canteens.

The restaurant will amaze for both its decor and its cuisine.

LOS TONELES

(San Gwann, Malta)

I was very disappointed by Los Toneles Restaurant because I was expecting to find the Set Menu priced for 8 euros and not 10 euros. Also the second plate had a poor presentation.

The first plate was very good. But the biggest disappointment was when we were told the menu was 10euros and after we got the bill the waiter told us on a weekends the menu would be 12euros.

He said he informed us but I was very sure he didn’t. Also he made a mistake with the bill charging us for an extra person.

The only good value for money is their paellas as its only 6.00euros for a main course.

Oliva

Oliva ~ Valencia Province

The lovely coastal town of Oliva  is in the province and region of Valencia  surrounded by the sparkling Mediterranean sea, the Safor Mountains and breath-taking countryside.

Sports activities in Oliva …

  • For sports enthusiasts there’s a great selection of activities.
  • Mountain climbing,  rambling , horse-riding, the Nautical Club and the famous golf complex which has an 18 hole course designed by Steve Ballesteros.

You’ll also be able to enjoy the traditional Valencian cuisine and the many markets which are full of fresh local produce.

Oliva beaches and local villages …

The wide white sandy beaches have excellent facilities so ideal for both children and sports enthusiasts and the fresh-water drinking springs in nearby  Villalonga and other local villages are good for your health.

  • The  area is still very Spanish and the surrounding  villages attract  many people from Madrid who exchange the heat of the city for the sparkling blue sea and mountains.
  • There are many affordable houses in the villages and by the beach and many tourists have made it their home. Some also have a few acres of orange groves which make this a popular area to buy.

Buying a property is perfect if you want to become self-sufficient and enjoy the fruits of the land.
